Trimaran MIZAR

The Trimaran

Designed by multihull expert Eric Brunell, the Neel 45 Evolution trimaran is the perfect symbiosis of a comfortable cruising catamaran and a fast and pleasant sailing trimaran. Designed for sailors who want to sail actively and fast, but do not want to do without the comfort of a catamaran such as low heel and plenty of space.

This boat was built for us in the version we defined and was launched for the first time in July 2020.

The MIZAR is available as a charter yacht with or without a skipper from Pula/Croatia.

Security

Sailing fast and safety are not contradictory here. For example, the higher possible speed allows you to reach a safe place earlier.
The large width offers significantly greater stability compared to the cruising cat. The fractional rig with mainsail and the two furling headsails (genoa and staysail) delivers performance with the option of easily adjusting the sail area even at higher wind speeds.

Equipped with all the safety equipment prescribed by the german See-BG and additionally fitted with radar and active AIS, our MIZAR is equipped for all voyages. The sandwich construction in combination with several collision sheets make the Neel 45 unsinkable.

Comfort

A trimaran has been proven to offer much more pleasant sea behaviour in waves than a cruising cat. As it also lacks the heel of a monohull, it offers enormous comfort from this point of view alone.

With the two spacious double cabins on the upper deck, the double cabin in the foredeck and the 4 single berths in the two floats, there is enough space for up to 10 people.

2 comfortable wet rooms and plenty of space in the cockpit and on deck round off the concept.

Performance

There is probably no other boat on the charter market that can keep up with our MIZAR under sail. Even in light winds, the boat makes rapid progress, with 3 – 4 wind forces the 10Kt mark is cracked and at higher wind speeds, speeds of 15 – 18 knots are not uncommon. And the best thing about it is that everything is easy going, simple and safe.

The Neel 45 also impresses upwind with its low turning angles, 45 degrees upwind can be achieved effortlessly. And for those for whom that’s not enough, we offer an optional gennaker, which significantly increases performance in half wind and rough conditions.

All in all, this is pure sailing!
