Uwe Heißel

In 1979, I learnt the basics of sailing on a Strale (470) according to the motto ‘learning by doing’. This was followed by an A licence and a Lake Constance skipper’s licence. I sailed the Baltic Sea in 1980 and 1981 on a Coronado 25 cabin cruiser. This was followed by the SBF-See and BR licence. Equipped in this way, I sailed numerous trips and ferries in the Mediterranean between 1983 and 1987 while studying mechanical engineering. At the same time, I sailed regattas on Hobie 14 and Hobie 16 catamarans for several years.

Many sailing trips with friends and family, from 2011 onwards on my own Bavarie 39C, followed until I obtained my SSS in 2016 and then my SHS in 2017. In 2018, I took the step to the RYA with the Yachtmaster Offshore.

I love to enjoy the speed of sailing, which is why I am always enthusiastic about sailing on Dragonfly 28Sport and Seascape 27, but I have also gained a lot of experience in the field of motorboats and motor yachts. I am happy to pass on my experience both in practical skipper training courses and in the theoretical area of SBF-See and SKS. As a boat owner and engineer, I am also quite familiar with the technology on board, and I am happy to pass on my experience here too.

My hobbies besides sailing are: Astro-navigation, skiing, snowboarding, windsurfing and of course my two companies, HSB-Automation GmbH and UniPPS GmbH business solutions.
